The University of Washington recently announced a new fund with the goal of mining universities and research institutions in Washington State for the most promising business ideas with the hope of sparking new, innovative ideas in our region. The W Fund is launching with $20 million and the intention of investing $500,000 in 20 or more startups each year over the next four years.
