We have exciting news to share! Social Innovation and entrepreneurship has a new address in Pioneer Square. The HUB, Social Venture Partners and BGI signed a long-term lease on the historic Masin’s building located in the heart of downtown Seattle in Pioneer Square. Slated to open by the end of September 2012, this unique facility will be home to one of the largest concentrations of social entrepreneurs in the nation.
This partnership will create a space to educate inspiring leaders and incubate ventures for the common good. And will lead the revitalization of Pioneer Square as a center of innovation in Seattle and the country. HUB, SVP and BGI make ideal partners to drive social entrepreneurship.
Hub Seattle is a coworking and events space for inspiring people. With a focus on supporting entrepreneurs bent on changing the world for good, the Hub is both network and nexus—equal parts office, clubhouse, and café combined in a comfortable community for making connections while progressing toward individual goals.
SVP builds powerful relationships among people and organizations that are out to make our world a better place. With a network of more than 2,300 engaged donors in 27 cities, they help individuals amplify their giving, fund and strengthen nonprofits, and foster collective action to tackle our biggest social challenges. SVP supports King County nonprofits focused on early childhood development, K-12 education, out-of-school time, and the environment.
The Bainbridge Graduate Institute was the first school to offer an MBA in Sustainable business. Fast Company and Huffington Post rank BGI as one of the top five Sustainable business programs and first by Net Impact in ratings of socially responsible MBA programs. Founded in 2002, BGI offers evening and weekend MBA and Certificate programs that thoroughly integrate environmental and social responsibility into every subject of the traditional core business curriculum.
Built in 1907, Masin’s Furniture Building is an extensively renovated, family owned, 29,000 square foot pillar of the community. This new partnership with the Masin family ensures the building’s ongoing leadership in Pioneer Square.
Kudos to Paul Suzman at OfficeLease for putting this creative partnership together!
