Bio

Kate has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1992 and is a tenured Associate Professor at California Polytechnic State University, where she teaches accounting and sustainable business practices. She has served on several committees as either an active member or chair and has advised numerous student initiatives at Cal Poly. These include Focus the Nation, Net Impact undergraduate chapter, and senior projects such as greening the Live Oak Music Festival and increasing recycling at Cal Poly.

Kate worked for 18 years at the Durango Mountain Resort in Colorado, serving the roles of Reservations Accounting Manager, Payroll and Benefits Manager, and Developer of Accounting Applications.
