Young Professionals with Pride
BGI is thrilled to host the May Young Professionals with Pride (YPP) by the Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA). YPP is Dedicated to providing Seattle’s LGBT and allied young professionals unique and valuable opportunities to enhance personal and professional development through social, educational, and philanthropic activities. GSBA’s Young Professionals with Pride group is geared toward a 21-39 age range members.
OUT for Sustainability (OUT4S), the featured nonprofit at this YPP, was started by BGI alums Gerod Rody and Julian O’Reilley using classes such as Social Justice in Business and Systems Thinking to build what is now the leading organization mobilizing a greener LGBTQ community.
The Seattle chapter of Out & Equal Workplace Advocates is again partnering with the event this month. This group of LGBT employee resource groups focuses on championing an inclusive environment for all Northwest companies by fostering cross-company communication, providing personal and professional networking and development opportunities, creating community involvement opportunities, sharing best practices, and celebrating diversity while benefiting their companies, communities and families.
Our fabulous alum Heidi of Maven Meals will be catering the event, so it’s not to be missed. In addition to well-sourced appetizers, we’ll be serving beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
We look forward to connecting BGI, GSBA, Out & Equal, and OUT4S together as we lead the change in Seattle’s business community.
