Bert Gregory, FAIA, LEED AP BD+C, is Chairman and CEO of Mithun. During his tenure, Bert has led Mithun to national recognition for concept-based, environmentally intelligent design. Under his leadership, the firm has been honored with four Committee on the Environment (COTE) Top 10 Green Projects, two American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) National Awards, a Sustainable Design Leadership Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), an AIA National Honor Award for Urban Design, two ULI Awards of Excellence, and a Local and Regional Leadership Award from the United States Green Building Council.
Bert serves as an international leader, speaker and advocate for sustainable building and urbanism, with recent lectures in Beijing, Jerusalem and Sarajevo. He served as Vice Chair of the USGBC LEED® for Neighborhood Development Core Committee, is the immediate past Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s national Climate, Land Use and Energy Advisory Committee, and was an advisor to the National Building Museum’s Intelligent Cities Initiative. He currently serves on the Forterra Board of Directors, the ULI TOD Council, the Technical Resource Group of the Clinton Climate Initiative’s Climate Positive Development Program and the faculty of The Portland Institute of Sustainability’s EcoDistrict Institute.
