I once heard a folktale about the birth of a child. In the story, a village elder stated that the Universe has already selected what you are to do in life. Part of our challenge as humans is to allow that purpose to emerge. I can’t remember a specific experience that led me to sustainability—it has always been a part of my life in some way, shape or form—and I accept the responsibility.

Professionally, I have noticed that since coming to BGI I am more effective when working in groups, able to get the desired results of each project. I have a more success leading, motivating and organizing my team members toward meeting project and situational goals.

I find myself happier at BGI knowing that I am on the right path. I chose to change the world by creating a company that will generate change through community development, alternative energy and agriculture. All three are vital to creating a sustainable world.

Background

Izegbe has years of operational and managerial experience from her work in educational development. Dedicated to improving the experience and effectiveness of learning organizations from public schools to corporations, Izegbe and her team look for practical whole-systems solutions. She is currently enrolled in BGI’s Hybrid Program.
